A strategy was developed to create an Nunavik Child Advocacy and Family Resources program. The goal is to have a child advocacy centre in each community. Saturviit also has a project in drafting a Charter of Rights for Inuit Children, to be used as a speaking tool at community visits. One community will be identified for creating a pilot child advocacy centre. Models of such centres in Canada and in other aboriginal communities have been researched. The need for culturally appropriate management and professionals at the centre, as well as financial resources have been identified.
